If you’re an atheist and you can’t comprehend how anyone could ever believe in god without any concrete evidence just think about all those times you held B-down when trying to catch a Pokemon.
WHO THE FUCK THOUGHT IT WOULD EVER BE A GOOD THING TO HOLD DOWN B?…

I’ve really got to take issue with ‘However, the character customisation is nothing more than a play to get more girly girls.’ Pokemon as a franchise has always had a fairly gender neutral appeal. I don’t think that they particularly needed to reach out to more feminine players on this one, they already had them.
It seems much more likely that the detailed character customisation was added alongside the much greater integration of online features. Previously, everybody looked like Generic Boy Avatar and Generic Girl Avatar and in some games your could choose a generic character to represent yourself in connected play ‘Eg Are you a toddler, a scientist, or a ranger?’ This really doesn’t cut it in a new play environment where you can see and play with all your 3DS friends, plus hordes of internet unknowns, at any time. Having character customisation means that when you look at your friends list, you see a bunch of different people.
Good points! However, I never disagreed.
"I think that character options for a game like Pokémon is great. I’d love to have a character that’s either amusing or fits my team. However, the character customization is nothing more than a play to get more girly girls. It’s a shallow implementation with few options, most of which are poorly thought-out."
My complaint was that the customization was too limited, not that I didn’t want it in the series.
I see! I thought you were saying that it was a good feature to have, but you felt it was only included to pander to girly girls (as part of the demographic pandering fluff you mentioned). Where I was saying it’s a good feature to have, and was included to compliment the online features and is therefore valuable. I assumed that your criticism was twofold, that it was shallow and also it was pandering, and I was just commenting on the pandering part.
I can’t comment myself on how shallow it is yet as I haven’t seen all the clothes shops the game has to offer, but I must admit I was pretty infuriated myself when I realised I could only add freckles as makeup and they disappeared after I shot a trainer video. Why??
