Brown! The only reason it’s coloured blue is because of the poor quality printing in Tezuka-sensei’s day. Takashi was half-black!

I think it really depends on whether you want to be somewhat campy manga Blackjack or more serious modern reboot Blackjack! FOLLOW YOU HEART

I’d say brown, the blue on covers always bothered me, but since you have both, you can see which looks better?

I’d go blue, myself! Yeah, it’s supposed to be black skin in the manga, but I think blue would look more cartoony and less, uh, unfortunate.

I’d say go for the half brown skin face because like his face is actually half the skin of a black person. Unless there’s a reason its blue..

Good arguments for either side. 

I know brown makes more sense obviously, but the blue is fun and cartoony. And I don’t think the brown makeup would be too unfortunate implications-ey, but blue would sidestep that altogether. 

I’ll probably end up just making a snap decision the morning of the con, haha.

Or as black face brown face no it’s all terrible sounding Black Jack

In my indecision I bought makeup for both.

My tie is red so I guess I should go brown because most of the blue skin illustrations also have a blue tie.

But then
